Another aspect of QRP's business is its growing line of components for wheelchairs. These products include hubs, axles, spoke guards, wheel lock mechanisms, and complete wheel assemblies for everyday use as well as sporting competition. These products were developed at the request of handicapped U.S. veterans who approached the company because they perceived that the quick release pin technology could be utilized to allow simple, reliable removal of wheelchair wheels. These same veterans had used QRP's quick release pins on various pieces of equipment while in military service.
